2010 Schedule
January 30, 2010 Coco and Lafe 8pm $15.00
We didn’t start singing and playing guitar while still in the womb, we haven’t been hailed as the new Dylan and we aren’t American Idol friendly. We’re a couple of empty-nester baby-boomer back-porch songwriters turned street performers turned full-time touring musicians. We don’t chase radio hits, we don’t write for others, we don’t wear fish bowls on our heads. We write songs, we perform them, we laugh as much as possible. We travel with a small beagle and a large cappuccino maker.

November 27 & 28 “Tim
Flannery and That Damn Band” $20.00
We will always remember the first time Tim
played here in 2003 with just him and his brother Tom on a warm September night
and sang “Hot Viejas nights” and he was right it was a very hot night heat and
music! The audience loved him and stuck
with the temperatures because the music flowing was just to sweet to
leave. Since that first performance Tim
has blessed us and is now returning for his 7th performance here at”
Canyonfolk”, which has demanded two nights in a row here for 5 years now! Come and see why if you have never seen Tim
before and you will see why we allow him and his “That Damn Band” back year after year!

His voice is warm and smooth. His guitar playing is reminiscent of the days when John Denver and Jim Croce entertained their fans. He makes playing the guitar look as simple as walking. His on-stage charm is the same in the limelight as it is offstage. When you sit with Nathan outside a San Diego Coffee House you are bound to make two new friends in a half hour.

June 14, 2008 The Grams 8pm "OUTDOOR SHOW" $15.00
WINNERS! 2007 SAN DIEGO MUSIC AWARDS!!!
WINNERS! 2006 SAN DIEGO MUSIC AWARDS!!!
THE GRAMS are a group of musicians featuring three locally
acclaimed vituosos. There's singer/songwriter Chuck Schiele - of whom reviewers
are frequently prompted to write that, "when he sings about soul, you know
he has one."" And, Craig Yerkes, one of the hottest, most revered
lead guitar players in southern California - delivering one gorgeously fierce
solo after another. At the age of 14 Guitar Player Magazine was quoted as
saying that Craig was playing like a "seasoned pro in jazz, rock, funk and
country styles" with no excuses. In San Diego is the guitar player's
player. Sweet Elise is the exotic beauty who reinvents classical violin
by way of experimentation and signal processing. Bart Mendoza of the San Diego
Reader and SD Music Matters publications said that she was the defining element
in the Grams' sound. The Grams are supported by a stellar rhythm section giving
this very edgy acoustic act a rock solid groove.
